Advice to SAFREA members on negotiating Terms & Conditions

Freelancers are self-employed business people, who need to establish terms of a working relationship, and negotiate fees that cover the costs of doing business (such as administrative time, health and disability insurance, office supplies, equipment, office space, sick leave and vacation time). The freelancer's position is parallel to that of any consultant, who markets their professional expertise and then applies their technical knowledge.
