How do I join Safrea?

If you want to join Safrea, the best way to apply for membership is to fill in one of our online application forms. There are three different forms, depending on the category of membership (Full, Associate or Student).

Before you fill out a form, be sure to read the membership criteria for the category in which you're applying. If you aren't sure which category fits you best, you can choose the one that seems nearest to your needs and we'll tell you if we think you need to change to a different membership type.

Why can't I post a job?

When you post a job, please ensure that you fill in as much information as possible. If you omit information, the job will not post but instead stays on the screen so that you can add more information (eg choose an appropriate profession).

How do I stop all the Safrea emails?

MEMBERS ONLY

Fed up with all the dozens of Safrea emails?

This is a regular problem for a proportion of our members; while some people view the Google group as a virtual newsroom and therefore enjoy the banter throughout the day, others prefer only to dip into the conversation when they have a question to ask or when they are less busy. If you are keen to “turn down the volume” of the group without losing access altogether, this guide is for you.

Safrea Mandate: Training & Mentoring

'Training and Mentoring' is a popular request from those new to Safrea, new to freelancing or new to their specific discipline, as well as from veterans hoping to diversify their skill set, freshen up or learn something new.

The 2010 committee has therefore undertaken the task of formalising this portfolio for Safrea, under my management. What follows is an insight into how we hope to achieve this and where we are to date. It is four pages long, so you may want to print it out - but please do take the time to read it.
