MESSAGE FROM OUR CHAIR

Dear Safreans,

This week marks the start of our regional AGMs, which means you will have either already received an annual report from your regional chair or can expect one soon. Then, stay tuned for our national AGM, which commences on 27 April and ends on 30 April.

Want to get involved in SAFREA? There's still time! The deadline to volunteer or nominate a member to serve on Exco is 17 April. Simply email your interest or nominee's name to Bruce at admin@safrea.co.za.

Remember, volunteers are the backbone of SAFREA. They help strengthen our association and bring positive change. Our membership numbers are growing, as is our reputation. To keep this up, we need your help!

I’m looking forward to the great energy and added value of our new regional and executive committee members. Wishing you all a great AGM and a productive April!

Kindly,
Laura

SAFREA IN THE NEWS

Not sure if you've noticed, but we've had a lot going on recently. Here's a quick look back at a very productive month.

Look out for more news and updates on the SAFREA website and social media outlets.

UPCOMING EVENTS

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

This month we’re featuring Luke Comins, a Durban-based graphic artist and designer who enjoys experimenting with new styles and techniques and has the kind of experience that lands him pretty great gigs. His work at advertising agencies and as a freelancer has earned him projects with Unilever, Sarah Lee, Kagiso Broadcasting, Coca-Cola, Blue Security, FM and more.

Learn more about Luke, and find the link to his design site as well as his contact details by visiting his SAFREA profile, here.

Did you know that as a spotlighted member, Luke will now be featured on all of SAFREA's social media platforms. How great is that? What a way to get exposure as a freelancer!

We caught up with last month’s featured member, Jade Roberts, who had this to say about her feature in the SAFREAN:

'It's an honour to be associated with SAFREA, and this sort of recognition encourages us to stay at our best; this means keeping our profiles up-to-date and being active members on the Google group, which is something I have committed to doing more of since my feature.'

It's about time you ask yourself: how's my profile looking?

FREELANCING TIP OF THE MONTH

At SAFREA, we're always on the lookout for time-saving tricks and business insights to help our members take their careers to the next level.

We all want to be associated with a reliable, accredited organisation, so it’s our goal to make sure your name stands out. That means, giving you the tools you need to succeed.

This month, we’re looking at Streak. Ever wonder if a client is seeing and ignoring your emails? That’s the worst! Well, wonder no more with Streak, a whole new way to manage your inbox.

This free Gmail CRM extension allows you to track emails, split threads, snooze messages, send later, plus so much more.

Check out all Streak has to offer on their website, here.
