I have 20 years of experience of video editng in the television and film industry. I have edited youth education shows, independent documentaries, game shows, magazine inserts, feature documentaries, one feaqture film and a daily drama show. Over the last six years I have been teaching the telelvision specialisation at the Rhodes University School of Journalism & Media Studies. In this course I taught the production of news stories, current affairs, profiles, investigative pieces, music videos and long form social change documentaries. The students are to taught pitch stories, write proposals, preproduction, research, shoot, edit and distribute their pieces via social media. There is also a focus on television and film studies theory which I taught. I am now embarking into the freelance world again. I am also completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education. One of my current interests is using video in teaching and research.
