Palesa Rochelle Matlala
I am a Full- time, final- year student at Boston Media House, studying towards a Media Practices Diploma; specializing in Journalism. I have a vibrant and adventurous personality and believe in working hard and completely dedicating myself to success and happiness. I am driven to reach my goal of contributing to, and exploring all platforms of the media indusrty- as I am an individual who enjoys the thrill of working under pressure as well as teamwork.
My passion for Media has been ignited in me when I participated in the United Nations Children's Radio Foundation Programme (2012- 2014). The programme exposed me to research, writting, broadcasting ,training and competitions; being placed first in South- Africa and second in Africa for Best Producing and Broadcasting in one of the competitions (2013). I also gained experience of the pressure that comes with being part of the media industry, as I voluntered as a Journalist, News Reporter, Content Producer and Presenter at the radio station which facilitated the programme (Kurara fm 98.9).
I believe that SAFREA is an exceptional platform for me to gain more knowledge, experience and exposure, as I embark on my exciting journey in the media careerfield.
