Olwam Mnqwazi is the Managing Director of the Black Hat Group and the author of ‘Writing the Way: Lessons & Conversations I wish to have with you'. He has previously led a number of initiatives such as Fruits of Democracy, InkuluFreeHeid and South African Youth Council to name a few. He holds a BA Degree majoring in Industrial and Organisational Psychology as well as Public Administration from Nelson Mandela University; and and BA Honours Degree in Development Studies from the same university.
Olwam worked at the Nelson Mandela University for five years before he founded the Black Hat Group, a writing and research consultancy company. Among some of his publications include the Profile 17 Magazine, The Nelson Mandela Bay Fashion Week Magazine and his self-publised book, Writing the Way. The company's main clients include Nelson Mandela University, Eastcape Midlands College and Port Elizabeth College to name a few. The company has edited and assisted in academic research for Honours, Masters and PhD students.
In 2018, Olwam's special awards include being the Top Achiever Award in the category of Special Sector for Youth Development by Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality and he was is one of the 2015 Mail & Guardian 200 Young South Africans.
