My interest in photography and journalism started with my first job working for the Daily News newspaper in Harare. I was trained there as a photolithographer. I did freelance photography for the Daily News newspaper. During the Zimbabwe bush war I covered military actions and various atrosities. I then entered the flying world and ran various relief NGOs' operating out of Swaziland into Malawi and Mozambique.
For the last ten years my wife, Sharon Salmon, and I have worked together as a team, doing freelance photo-journalism.
