I work professionally as an actor, voice-over artist, scriptwriter, journalist and broadcaster.
I studied Drama at the University of the Witwatersrand (1983-1986), headed the Performance department at AFDA (South African School of Motion Picture Medium & Live Performance) and hold a Masters degree in Drama from the University of Cape Town. I have served on the committee of SAFREA and of the Cape Chapter of the South African Scriptwriters' Association. I have also completed various courses and master-classes; Investigative Journalism at the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism; script development with Dermod Judge; sitcom writing with Humphrey Barclay and Jurgen Wolff, and Screenwriting with Carol Kaplan, Alby James and John Cundill.
As a radio journalist I have worked at various times with Radio RSA, Channel Africa, SAfm, 702 and Cape Talk. As a scriptwriter I have developed and written television comedies such as Going Up, Suburban Bliss and SOS.
Through my company I create corporate video and industrial theatre presentations, driven by the belief that ideas are most powerfully communicated when they transcend the conceptual; when they are delivered with an evocative dimension that is emotionally engaging.
