Born in the UK, Deryn came to South Africa in 1995 and took full citizenship in the early 2000s. She is an award-winning radio and tv producer and between 2016-2022 was the PR & Communications Manager for the country’s official buy local advocacy campaign, Proudly South African.
She is the founder of the copywriting and editing agency, Lorem Ipsum and has worked with a diverse range of clients including the University of the Witwatersrand, Ogilvy PR, Irvine Partners, TBWA Namibia, Berkely PR UK among many other ad and PR agencies and corporates, creating scripts, blogs, press releases, feature articles and op eds, transcribing and editing and acting as a rapporteur.
