What does a day in your life look like?
I usually start my work at around 07:00. I collaboratively plan my day, and make sure that the most urgent work gets done first. I use Monday.com as my project management platform.
On a typical Monday morning, I usually begin by going over the list from the previous week. This way I can set up my priorities. I review the status of the projects that I’m currently working on, and I try to finish any pending work. I try to make sure that all the work assigned to me is moving forward and without any glitches.
Where/how do you find inspiration?
I am inspired by deadlines and work well with a clear timeline in place. Meeting a deadline excites me, and the feeling that I have achieved a goal keeps me more inspired to continue to surpass expectations.
My main inspiration comes from providing wonderful service to every customer with whom I come into contact. I look for the opportunity to enhance my customer service skills so that anyone I interact with will have a positive experience. I also feel inspired by leading a team and helping each of the members grow. In my previous gigs, I have been able to increase management plans and also create goals that we could accomplish together in a team environment.
What advice do you have for other freelancers?
Working for yourself is hard at times but so worth it for the freedom and autonomy.
Always take the opportunity for professional development, don’t stagnate. Training at all stages of your career is essential. Keep moving forward, taking small steps, plan ahead and be consistent. Keep believing in yourself as times will get tough but you will make it through.
