Dear Safreans,

A warm and cheerful welcome to 2023. In our ongoing spirit of collaboration, we look forward to working together as Safreans with our various collaborators. We also look forward to welcoming on board new freelance professionals in the communications and media sector, as members of Safrea.

We said farewell to Vaughan Jones, our treasurer, who passed away in December 2022. Vaughan made a valuable contribution during his time on the executive committee. While his passing saddens us, his spirit of cooperation and willingness to share his expertise will be fondly remembered. Thank you to every Safrean who supported Vaughan’s wife in her time of need, both emotionally and financially.

As mentioned last year, we are really excited about the Safrea Camp Summit in May 2023. We are hoping to see this as the ideal platform to launch in-person contact in a big way. This is a first-time event for all of us and we look forward to meeting one another, networking and teambuilding. Please look out for more information about this project.
