Safrea’s Free State Region hosted a workshop with social media specialist, Nadio von Maltitz. She shared useful tips with the group of freelancers, including photographers, videographers, copywriters, and graphic designers.

“When you do social media, know who you are first. When compiling your social media strategy, it is important to know your business and what you have to offer. Ask yourself – what makes me different from my competitions, who is my ideal customer and what do I still need to work on?”

“Social media is dynamic. What was relevant a year ago, is no longer relevant. Therefore, stay dynamic, be flexible and be able to adapt your strategies quickly. It is important to connect and engage with people. Help them with content they love to see. Post material that will educate, entertain, inspire, sell your services, and build your brand.”

The group of creatives did not only benefit from the session to enhance their own business, but as content creators they were also geared to assist other businesses with their social media needs.
