The new Professional Development team under the leadership of Kay Johnstone, got together for the first time in-person to brainstorm plans to serve Safreans best. Alexis Grewan, previous Professional Development portfolio head, shared her advice.
“We agreed on a number of objectives, including identifying the needs of members in more detail, interspersing webinars with other items of interest and issuing a calendar of events quarterly to keep members informed of upcoming plans. The team hopes to present events at different times of the day to determine the best supported time-slots.”
“We are also looking at the possibility of curating a library on various topics of interest. Our intention is to create a range of resources such as podcasts, webinar recordings and other content on the website for members to view at their leisure. As always, we are keen to engage with members on how best we can serve them. We encourage feedback and suggestions and invite Safreans, who are willing to do presentations on their particular field of expertise, to contact me,” said Kay.
