Describe yourself in one sentence.
I am a loving husband and father-of-one who feeds my soul through creativity.
Please tell us more about what you do and how long you’ve been a freelancer.
I tell people’s stories through visual media including motion graphics, video and animations. I have been freelancing on and off for more than a decade and have been a full-time freelancer for the past three years.
What does a day in your life look like?
It is a whirlpool of organised chaos and balancing family-time with productive, focussed creation.
Where/how do you find inspiration?
I find my inspiration in people’s stories. Being able to bring the stories in their words to life, inspire me.
What advice do you have for other freelancers?
Never give up. It takes time to make yourself stand out from the rest and this is a continuous journey.
How long have you been a Safrean, and why are you a member of Safrea?
I’ve been a Safrean for well over a year now. To me Safrea is a platform where not only new information is shared with freelancers, but it also provides networking opportunities and a sounding board where creatives can discuss ideas and get valuable input.
What is your work/life motto?
Shift your thoughts to what you can create, and simplicity is usually the answer.
