Dear Safreans,

February has been a month of planning for Safrea. Earlier this month, we held a meeting with the current contributors to the Safrea Chronicle / Media Hub.

The initiative has gone through some torrid times, and we wanted to ensure its sustainability. Most importantly, we wanted to make sure that it aligns with the Safrea framework. The three-hour strategic session, ably facilitated by our administrator Thea Aboud, was very well attended and productive.

The resultant report is currently being reviewed by those who attended and will be distributed to the wider membership for comment soon.

Also in the pipeline is a meeting between Exco and the Oversight Committee to discuss whether the organisational structure needs to be updated or streamlined. We’ll keep you posted about that too!
