Safrea’s Free State region hosted an event for freelancers, discovering the 50 Shades of Entrepreneurship with Werner Schmidt, start-up coach and brand discoverer.
They did not only learn about the business side of freelancing (guided by the Business Model and the Value Proposition Canvases), but also about being human, adding authentic value to the people you work with.
In between storytelling and singing a song, participants also contemplated topics such as time management and keeping an eye on the ball. Schmidt introduced the red-and-blue ball. “Red represents the unique value proposition that your business brings to your customers and clients and blue, represents your business’ ability to convert your value proposition to cash profits,” he said.
